1️⃣ What is LYD?

LYD (Love You, Daily) is a simple, privacy-first app designed to encourage you to perform a small act of kindness or affection for your partner each day. You mark that act as complete with a single tap—no clutter, no fuss.

2️⃣ How do daily check-ins work?

Each day, LYD provides an easy check-in button. Once you’ve done something kind for your partner, you tap to mark the day complete. Your check-in status resets automatically at midnight local time.

3️⃣ What kind of reminders does LYD provide?

LYD can send two gentle reminders each day:

• Morning reminder: A random time between 8 AM and 11 AM.
• Evening reminder: A random time between 3 PM and 7 PM.

You can enable or disable these individually, or turn off reminders entirely in Settings. If you check in, reminders for that day are cancelled automatically. The random times keep things fresh. For precise control, LYD Plus offers custom times.

4️⃣ Is my data private?

Yes. Your data never leaves your device—no accounts, no servers, no analytics. Your check-ins, notes, and settings are stored securely on your phone.

Because of this, if you uninstall the app or upgrade your phone, you will lose any data since your last backup. You can export your data in Settings with a single click; it’s saved in your personal, private iCloud Drive by default. LYD Plus offers automatic backups so you don’t have to remember.

5️⃣ What’s the Journal feature?

Journaling is optional and off by default. Enable it in Settings. After checking in, you can add a brief note about what you did that day. These notes stay private on your device and in your backups.

You can also choose to show or hide Journal entries on the Today screen for extra privacy.

6️⃣ What’s tracked in the app?

LYD tracks:

• Your current streak of consecutive days checked in.
• Your longest streak.
• (If enabled) weekly and/or monthly goals you configure.

7️⃣ Can I edit past check-ins or notes?

Yes. Go to the Progress screen, tap a past day, and you can update its check-in status or add/edit a Journal note (if Journaling is enabled).

8️⃣ Does LYD require an account or login?

No. LYD doesn’t require or support accounts. Everything stays local, so you don’t need to sign in or provide personal information.

9️⃣ Can I back up my data?

Yes. You can manually export your data from Settings; files are stored in your private iCloud Drive. You can import them from that location as well. LYD Plus users can enable automatic iCloud backups.

If you have LYD Plus, you can quickly check in or undo today’s check-in from your wrist and receive mirrored reminders.

1️⃣2️⃣ Does LYD sync data across devices?

Not in the free version, because all data exists only on your device. LYD Plus users with automatic iCloud backup enabled can sync across multiple devices.

1️⃣3️⃣ Can I customize the app?

Yes. You can customize reminder tone and app accents. Choose between Simple, Standard, Expressive, or Saucy themes, plus Light/Dark or system mode.

1️⃣4️⃣ How do I export or import my data?

In Settings → Data Management, you’ll find export and import options. Exports are saved as files you can store or move; imports restore that data. Always back up before upgrading iOS or devices.
